5. Adjusting for Mapping vs. Bossing on the Fly
It’s not unusual to pivot between goals. For example, you might farm currency for POE currency for several days, then switch to killing Uber bosses.
How to transition:
Use Orbs of Unmaking to refund unneeded nodes
Allocate passive points to increase boss spawn chances
Temporarily ignore league mechanics that spawn too many mobs
Swap in supports and gear tailored for single-target damage
Example:
Remove Delirium and Legion passives
Add Maven, Elder, and “Boss has a chance to drop double loot” nodes
Equip boss-killing gems (e.g., Damage on Full Life, Ruthless)
Transitioning between strategies is part of PoE 2’s strength—adaptation leads to buy POE2 Currency success.
